Surprisingly many companies fail at catching any attention within 140 characters, making Twitter either feast or famine when it comes to keeping people awake. Two things I look for before hitting the follow button is the use of media, and interesting personal takes on what’s going on in the world of oil and gas.

With 296,000 Twitter followers, Chevron fulfills my “media” criteria by leaps and bounds. One of their posts reads “What Can Be Made From One Barrel of Oil?” That’s more than interesting enough for me to hit the follow button.
