rolls-royce

Okay, so let’s get one thing straight before we get going: Unless you’re a millionaire (even then), you won’t be able to afford any of the cars on this list.

That’s because they’re all sports cars–like Ferrari’s, Bentley’s, and Lamborghini’s.

Now, this was a bit of a surprise to me given the horrible MPG of the infamous Hummer, however this is a list for 2016 automobile models only. It turns out that GM stopped making Hummers a few years ago, so we won’t really be seeing any cars on this list with gas mileage under 9 MPG.

Before we get into it, let’s look at the industry averages.

Auto News reports that in May of 2015, the average fuel efficiency for vehicles in America hovered around 25 MPG. What makes it better is that this is a nearly six-point increase from 2007, when the average fuel efficiency for SUV’s, vans, and pickups was about 20 MPG.

With help from Market Watch, here are the top five gas-guzzling cars of 2016.

5. Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe
