The Oil and Gas industry is so complex that I was a little doubtful that developers have ever summarized it in game form successfully. But boy, was I wrong.

I rounded up five titles across a variety of platforms like board games, apps, and computer simulators, that are incredibly fun and educational at the same time. Here are the top five.


5. Crude: The Oil Game

This one is a board game where facilities for oil pumping, drilling, refining, and selling are all represented by pieces on the board. There’s also speculative setting of oil prices by the players, and the first player to reach $750 million in profit, wins!
